Hi guys,

I've an annoying problem while RLC is open in the browser: I cannot hear/play any sound from other sources. I mean... cant hear the audio in a movie or play mp3 files.

I see that RLC uses ALSA sound system while other apps use pulseaudio and they conflict.

If I close RLC window all the other sound sources work correctly and viceversa. The first which seize the sound system wins.

Any way to solve this mismatch?

Is that a problem on a mobile device (tablet, smart phone)? Because you said "apps".

 

And which browser do you use?

I have this problem with chrome running under linux. I used the term "app" because an app is nothing more nothing less than a program: pieces of code put in the mouth of a S.O.

Yes, of course "app" ist just short for "application", which is every software.

 

Did you already try another browser? But I guess it's a Linux related problem, because Chrome itself does not have it.

 

I'm not experienced with Linux, so I cannot help you there, sorry.
