Why better apartments,  just to smell like cat and dog piss?

 

Why would you care? You wouldn't smell them.

I guess most of you have never been in a typical Russian apartment..they are not that big..usually a bedroom or a bedroom/front living room and a kitchen space that can be combined with another living/bedrom space. some have halls by the front door and some have just a small entry way. probaby 60% will have some kind of balcony. most bathrooms are small and will have a tub/shower a sink, sometimes connected to the tub, a toilet and a washing machine..which sometimes is in the kitchen..RLC seems to favor the newer apartments it seems but some look like renovated older Soviet designs.
