close call GIF Fucking terrible.

I have strong memories of this happening to me. I was driving but only a few houses away from my home and a kid about the same age or less darted out right in front of me. I slammed on my brakes as hard as I could but I couldn't see the little boy past the front hood. His mother came running and grabbed the boy. Obviously I stopped in time and the child was okay. But for about a day or two I was shaking quite a bit as this rattled my nerves. To this day, I always watch for humans or animals on either side of the road for any possible occurrences (and I slow down ahead of time or have my foot above the brake pedal, just in case).
