The chatbox and the gallery were always the best assets of RLCF. With the DMCA take-down this week, we lost the gallery. The chat is still there, or what's left of it.
It used to be a place for pleasant conversation, some banter, and discussing what happened ON the cameras. But not anymore. Most of the apartments aren't mentioned at all. Interesting stuff happens there, but chatters rather talk about B1/B2 even when the the apartments are empty, than mention the other 17 (!) apartments. The chat is all about guessing what happens outside the B1/B2-apartment, based on bits of conversations that are taken completely out of context, translations of conversations that are incomplete, inaccurate, or just plain false. The times I log on to the chat, all I see is the same bullshit over and over again from a very limited number of users that are completely obsessed, mostly with Gina. If she blows her nose, it must have been because she had been snorting cocaine off camera moments before. If she sits in the corner of the balcony smoking, it must be weed. Whatever she does, a conspiracy theory gets dreamed up around it.
We always had a pretty steady crew on the chatbox, ever since I joined over a year and a half ago. Sometimes a user disappeared, sometimes a user joined. In the last few months, all of the old crew has completely vanished from the chat. Now the chat is no longer used by RealLifeCamFANS, but by very few that only take pleasure in letting everybody know how bad things are. They will eventually leave too, once they've figured out that it might be a good idea not to watch RLC if you don't like what you see.
Then the chatbox will be empty and all that's left on RLCF is the forums, which have been pretty much dead since RLC started wielding the ban hammer at every picture that got posted in there.
RLCF already started digging itself a hole, and if the staff doesn't come up with a vision for the future, will never be able to get out of that hole anymore. And that would be a shame. I always liked it here, I met some good people here, who I enjoyed talking with. 

Well said Sir Cow! I agree with everything you outlined. To many of us it was no longer worth the grief and aggravation to be on CHAT most of the time. It used to be fun and not so much about the items you mentioned. For the most part I know log on, look to see the current stream of topics and if it looks reasonable I will join in. Most of the time I end up just watching from the background and shake my head in disbelief. I guess we will see how it goes. 

Toolmaker123, as a forum moderator I do not think you are adhering to the rules per forum administrator, Stncld316, "Please be respectful and only post positive comments". Other RLCF members have been banned for making such comments about any of the RLC tenants. I guess concerning RLCF moderators, it is like the old saying "Don't do as I do. do as i say".

Well, I must say you have certainly taken you version of righteousness to a whole new level. And whether I agree with you or not does not really matter SZ; you have gone of the f***ing reservation in the last month or so. Not sure why; the girls name derivation stuff was pretty much a bunch of horseshit; this latest bit of indignation, during which you cannot even get the facts straight, which does not really matter a whole lot. What is stranger is the change of your logon from its original to the addition of 'Forum VJ'. Does the VJ stand for 'Voice of Judgement' because you have now become the sole voice of reason on RLCF. Get over it dude; you do not speak for me or for anyone else here. If you somehow feel an overwhelming need to preach to us and get us to confess our sins, take your own advice and GET THE FUCK OUT OF HERE!

Having grown up in times where the Internet wasn't an option I must say that a shitting dog in Krasnoyarsk is at least marginally interesting...

I use to enjoy the Chat Box but lately I am stopping myself using it.  And the reason is quite simple, I enjoy being a member of this site.  I have a very low threshold for idiots (blame 3 decades in the military I guess) and it seems that some here can't help themselves and have to see things the rest of us don't.  A tenant has a friend over, yep they must be having an affair.  A tenant is on the phone, yep calling their lover.  A new tenant comes in (this is especially relevant to both girl's apartments), they must be either escorts or about ready to sleep with whomever is already there (which of course will create tension and an all out cat fight over the new girl).
 
And these conspiracy theories would be nice, humorous stories if those telling them did get so upset if you dared to even ask for some iota of proof.  Yep he has seen it with his own eyes, he has PROOF (always stated like that), he has video (which never seems to either back up his outrageous story or can never be found).  And how dare someone query his wondrous detective skills, it is akin to questioning his manhood.
 
Seriously, one of the attractions to RLC is the interaction between people, but most of it is innocent,  If the only way you can get enjoyment from the site is to first imagine something may be happening then have the overwhelming compulsion to tell the world, then get upset when no one take you seriously or questions your 'facts' maybe you need to step away from the computer and experience real life for a bit.
 
I remember one member back when I first joined who was convinced that one of the women was having an affair.  His reasons: well the woman showered and put on nice clothes and went out, oh and she use to go out on the balcony to smoke and took her phone.  Yep that was the basis but in his mind that equated to the woman having a fully blown affair and boy did he go on about it, timings published when she would be on the phone, what she wore when going out, what time she would come home.  It would have been funny if the guy wasn't so serious and earnest about it, he could never understand why the rest of us didn't agree with him and laud him with platitudes for his wonderful investigative skills.

Every day I log on here eager to read the latest theory about the tenants.  Just in the last couple of days I have found out:
 
Ilona is pimping Danaya around town to any guy that can afford the price (hence why Ilona is resisting the charms of Danaya)
Ilona has a sugar daddy (who bought her the stuffed dog - wow big spender)
Ilona also has a boyfriend (this is of course why she spends so much time on the phone/laptop)
 
This of course adds to the growing list of:
 
Ilona was the madam for Layla, Irma and Anna (again because she was on the laptop a lot making bookings)
Both Paul and Lev are gay (it must be true they don't ravish their partners 24/7 like a normal couple would)
Carla and Mario are making money by web casting their sexual adventures (hey they have a laptop remember)
Anna has an STD (the reason is she peed more than she should and therefore wouldn't fuck Irma)
Every girl that has gone into the girls apartment is either a hooker, high class escort, stripper or porn star.
And the classic, all time favourite - everything that happens in all the apartments is closely scripted by RLC!
 
I must admit, I am impressed by the imagination some people exhibit here, they can pick up the minutest detail and form a rock solid conclusion with it.  And they don't like being queried about their new found detective powers, I am now proud to say I am blocked by at least two regulars in the Shoutbox for daring to ask where they got their information from.  No loss there I can assure you. 
 
So why do people here get so caught up in the lives of well strangers on a screen?  Is it that they have to invent these stories to justify in their own minds the fact that they are perving on them 24/7? 
 
On a slightly different topic, I would like to publicly thank B.T.R (and the other Admins of course) for putting a stop to the cyber stalking that was damn near epidemic here when I first joined.  It was a very dangerous practise that would only lead to trouble and I think the Admins should be applauded for putting a stop to it.
