Actually apartments on the coast in Barcelona are surprisingly affordable. The premium apartments are nearer the centre. A little research was done and the B2 apartment would cost approx €1500-€2000 per month

To me surprising at it was the end of September that she left so only just over 50 days ago. Based on getting new visa it would be right the end of December before she could be back.
