Many years ago,a cafe in North London used to do fresh crusty rolls filled with egg & sausage.

Two of those & a pint of coffee would sort out any hangover!

Never never put cheese on mine, always meaty chili, white onion, and yellow mustard. Lived near a hot dog place, as a kid. You went in and told the owner what you wanted, and the right way. If didn't or if you Im'd or ah'd, he went to the next customer. I learned quick, I would say what I wanted, outside, before I went inside.? If you asked for ketchup, he kick you out or say something like, I don't sell French fries.

 

Also Carolina BBQ, vinger based BBQ pulled pork, on a hamburger bun. Sometimes with cole slaw.

Personally, I'm a huge fan of turkey and bacon clubs.  Lots of turkey and bacon, mayo, pickles, hot peppers, little bit of lettuce, provolone cheese... yummy.

Wild Pork and Chili sauce between two slabs of bread, butter dribbling down the arm....

Roast beef with mozzarella on toasted garlic bread. Au jus on the side is an added bonus.

I always test the place on how they make their clubhouse... Thick and on home made bread... they found a new customer......lol
