toolmaker123 Posted September 18, 2015 Posted September 18, 2015 It has come to the attention of the Admin and the Moderators that some of the members find it necessary to draw attention to themselves by acting like children. Some have even gone so far as to make some of the most welcome members very uncomfortable and want to leave the forum, mainly being singled out because of their sex. This WILL not be tolerated. If you feel it necessary to harass, torment or belittle another member, beyond theirs (and NOT YOURS) comfort level, you will be warned ONE time. If it occurs a second time, "YOU Will be Banned" forever. For this very reason, we have also decided to post a new list of rules, (some of which are common sense), but because of some coming into the forum were raised by animals, have to be reminded again of 'Minding their Manners'. Please, upon entering the Shoutbox, address the room with A HI, HELLO,etc. ; don't just barg in with a comment. It makes us wonder where the comment came from, who it might be addressing, and so on. By the same note, we also are asking you to say your Goody byes, as well. Then others aren't wondering if you are still here. Some have asked questions concerning the promotion staus of some members; merely by whining, cause they only posted 15 posts and got Hero Member. This too is going to stop. You are ALL supposed to be over the age of consent. That means that when someone gets rewarded, you should be asking Not why, but how do I get promoted? Some have posted many pictures and videos, very relevant to rlc in the past, been "CONTRIBUTING" for a very long time. Ladies and Gentleman, Need I remind you; THIS is for " Entertainment Purposes ONLY". Not to be taken internally. Meaning, make your jabs at the rlc players and rlc staff. NOT at each other. It will NOT go unnoticed. And will not be ignored. I am sure Born-to-Ride will be adding his own comments, insight and rules to this post.....And I will return to agree with him. HAVE FUN WHILE HERE !! Mooka, JeffreyMl, Captain Bushytail and 2 others 5 Quote

XYZ12345 Posted November 29, 2015 Posted November 29, 2015 I couldn't find a general FAQ. Any restrictions on language on the site? For example I tend to put an asterisk into potentially offensive words - so I'd write f*ck up. I take it as read that any racist language, really offensive comments, etc are going to result in a ban, but are there any other rules of site etiquette to be aware of? Quote

ACT as you would in your mother's house. This is probably the best answer we can give you. If you wouldn't say it to her, it's best not to say it here. We regard the members as 'family' and as such, we protect them. We are NOT here to barrage each other with insults, but rather to comment, complain, and ridicule the players and staff of rlc. If you see fit to confront some member on the forum, you will receive severe punishment ; we will not tolerate racist or sexist remarks. BTR has already banned some members for making insulting comments to members here, and he did so rightfully. This forum is for you; we ask that you treat the forum and it's members WITH respect ! handy12 1 Quote
thomasmark Posted December 14, 2015 Posted December 14, 2015 ACT as you would in your mother's house. Ooops. Best stay quiet! I wouldn't be discussing any of this at my mother's hose! (But seriously, good point!) Quote
ShaKa ZuLu Forum VJ Posted January 14, 2016 Posted January 14, 2016 I'm going to try and get my point across with out being long winded. The Gallery(The Newbie's Holy Grail) It is what I search for when I was a newbie. Around and around I went looking for topic I could reply to. At First some of my replies were simple couple words here and there but than one of the moderator replied to one of my replies and ask me to elaborate and I did to make this short I found the grail from black to orange the key to the gallery. When I started it was 25 posts now it's 30 why you might ask because some seek the key to gain access for devilish reason. Making the key harder to obtain may deturd these heathens. So today as I enter the hollowed hall of The Gallery I notice unrest with end. Now after taking a look I see it is a small easily solvable problem for all parties involved. But here's my point. This forum is here for all RLC fans and non fans I got here by accident hung out liked it stayed and a big part of what makes it work is RESPECT for member for the shout for the gallery the fan pages. Because if we don't have RESPECT than a lot of little problems becomes a lot of big problems and big problems are solved with big solutions. I think I made my point. for all you who think who the f*# k is this guy and this sh*t is kind of cheesy remember this as the door slams behind you My cheesy ass will still be here man twerking in the gallery Create an account to see this content! You rapdily changed the topic of this post from "Code of Conduct" to gaining accessing the gallery. Which is not what I intended when I wrote this topic. AND I have to wonder why BTR didn't catch this? Please try to keep the topics in their proper places; makes them easier to find and makes a neat and tidy forum. Quote
smitty Posted January 14, 2016 Posted January 14, 2016 Thanks for this thread..I too stumbled upon this site looking for RLC info and found my access was to the shoutbox. In my opinion the box is one of the greatest features here and the members of all statuses are making either polite and sometimes caring conversation, raunchy jokes or comments on RLC's performance or providing useful advice or direction to others there whether guest or paying member. This DEMANDS respect both to other members AND Admin/Moderators. Other members are here for the same things you and I are and you don't need to find conflict while here nor do they. Admin/Mods are putting in a great deal of time and effort to provide a place for our entertainment and edification and respect for their work is shown in proper, civilized, respectful conduct while here. This is an adult site so behave like one, simple to say and do friends..Cheers! Quote
WingCommander Posted January 24, 2016 Posted January 24, 2016 G'Day (as you can see, I am an Australian), I am impressed by the way in which the moderators/site managers have approached the site access. I can see no reason for anyone to insult or put down any other member. Thank you toolmaker123 1 Quote

HAVE FUN WHILE HERE !! I read the chat box and see people getting yelled at for not addressing the room when they enter. What I find interest is the loudest yeller enters the room at times and just jumps in without addressing the room. A few time I address the room politly with a Hi or hello everyone and _________________________________________________________Not even from the guy who bitches the most about people not addressing the room. I'm just curious as to why some have to follow the rules and others don't . Why when I say hi or hello everyone ,I get nothing in return ,not even from the rule maker? There use to be a lot of other people in the chat that were fun to chat with. I see many have left. It use to be you were yelled at for posting pictures ect in the chat. Now it seems to be ok. Why make rules that only apply to some? Max 2017 1 Quote

No one is 'yelling' at anyone about addressing the room upon entering....no one MADE this a rule.......it is merely a courtesy; think of entering your mother's house, don't you greet her?? I'm sorry you don't get an acknowledgment when you come online. I don't have an answer for that one; maybe too much discussion going on at the time; I try to acknowledge everyone entering as do the other Moderators as I've seen. Also, we don't makes a big deal about addressing the room, as your comment states........sounds like you might wanna start a fight. That has to stop now. Thank you. Quote
norbee Posted May 10, 2016 Posted May 10, 2016 It's nice to see a forum like this that actually appears to have decent moderation and sensible ground rules. Bravo! Quote
Bmonty40 Posted June 26, 2016 Posted June 26, 2016 I'm not trying to be negative here, but this is all common sense kind of information. It seems like we are back in grade school being told to be nice to the other kids in the classroom. Of course, if you want to be treated with respect, treat others with respect. It just makes sense. But... What about people that seem to be on a different plain, than almost everyone else. This type of site would have a high probability of bringing out people with a wide variety of obsessive personalities, sexual deviancies, compulsive disorders, and the such. With their distorted ideas, perceptions, and points of view, these individuals at the very least can cause other members a gambit of emotions from simple uneasiness, to complete disgust. The feeling of associating with someone form that type of subculture is unappealing to most. Some will ignore them, some will decide this site isn't for them, and yet others will act out in a manor, that appears to be in violation of the site rules you have created. If order to achieve a truly just enforcement, you must employee competent strategies, to determine the bases of the unrest and ill feelings. If I torment you, until you are yelling at me, is it your fault? I know, it's an elementary example, but there is a lot of truth in it... Things are not always as they may seem. Quote
