I am a little concerned about the definition of "fan pages".  I always understood that a fan is someone who likes the object of desire.  Yet looking at some of the fan pages, there are not only derogatory comments about particular tenants, but down right rude remarks.
 
Can I suggest that if you have negative comments to make about a tenant of apartment, that you start a new topic. Better still, when the moderators (or members) set up the fan pages for new tenants, that they also set up a "complaints/negative comments" topic as well.
 
Just a thought.

My concern is that over the past few weeks, people have forgotten what "fan" means.
 
fan noun [C] (PERSON) A2 someone who ​admires and ​supports a ​person, ​sport, ​sports​team, etc.: By that definition, there should only be positive comments about the person on that thread.  But some members have taken the opportunity to vent their spleen about the person on the fan page.  I believe this is inappropriate.
 
Can I suggest that the negatives be put on the Chat Room, or in under another topic.

Well since I started this thread, maybe it is time I try to explain why.
 
It isn't the off topic conversations that annoyed me (and still do), it is the playground bully boy tactics.  It seems that a few decide to take a dislike to one of the tenants then proceeds to constantly bitch, moan, gripe, complain etc., about them.  Because these posters are regulars, it seems others feel they have to agree with the comments, and if anyone dares disagree, they are ridiculed, threatened, ignored, or just abused for having an opinion.
 
Just look at some of the comments about Paul, Lev, Ilona, and now Adele - you would think by reading the shout box that these people have committed mass genocide or killed kittens for a living.  I know, especially in regard to Paul and Lev that it is just petty jealousy coming out but with Ilona and Adele it has really got beyond a joke at time what these two have been accused of.  
 
Hell even look at Suzan, Hector and Pablo, according to some 'in the know' they have all been screwing each other, yet there isn't a photo or a video to back this up.  Yet, as I just saw in the Chat Box right now, when someone asks for proof the accuser gets very defensive and starts throwing accusations at the one asking the question!
 
I always thought the Chat Box was somewhere where a member of this site can came, have some banter, ask a question or two, catch up on what has been happening on the project and have some laughs - guess I thought wrong. 

Shout box is really useful; new info, things you've missed.   Sometimes it's very funny with lots of good bonhomie.
 
But other times it's like a pub conversation; I can't keep up with it, I don't know whether someone is answering two points ago or five points ago, I get lost and confused, as I suspect do others - or are they just drunk?   If I say something I think funny no one notices.   So I prefer to contribute to the forum, but be a silent presence on Shoutbox.
 
I'm sorry people get fed up with always discussing the girls' apartment, but the reason it is popular is it offers a different experience.  Sure, girl on girl hasn't happened yet, but that doesn't put fans off because blokes are obstinate cusses.   The more I'm told It will never happen the more I think  - I'll wait.
 
And why do I think it worth waiting?    Girls are different.   Blokes are hairy smelly boorish.   Girls are pretty, soft, nice company and smell clean.    No warty breath, borderline psychotic aggressives.  
 
Girls know this.  They are more willing to experiment with each other, to take risks, and to have a good time, even if that means sometimes appearing foolish, or out of their normal lifestyle.
 
Where blokes wouldn't dream of dancing in their knickers, girls give it a try.   They are willing to take a risk and experiment with other girls for fun or for money.
 
We know that, which is why we love waiting for the miracle to happen.

What Mooka described concerning the girls' apartment is absolutely correct. The chat gets very miserable at peak hours, which is why I tend to show my face when things have died down. I agree that the environment cannot be roses all the time, but allowing the negativity (theories, conspiracies or otherwise) to be common just diminishes the quality of the site and makes it uncomfortable for other members.
 
I find myself cringing at the shout-box regularly.

Truth be known, Leora and Paul live in Krasnoyarsk, Siberia.

If we accept that a mature person is one who can make their own decisions and accept the consequences, I would put Adele way ahead of the other girls.  Not once has she allowed others to dictate her actions, not Ilona or Danaya.  She knows what she wants. How does that compare with Kamila's vacillating about her boyfriend?
 
As far as intelligence goes, Do we assume that because Kristy reads books, that she is more intelligent than the others? Consider that in her first week, Adele spent a good deal of time downstairs studying with actual pen and paper - making notes on the books she had.  And Danaya was learning a new language on her phone.
 
As for the comment about trailer park trash, my knowledge of trailer park people comes from Jerry Springer and various internet sites around the place.  There is no way that you could compare D&A to any of the examples shown there!!!

and secondly, if you don't find the site interesting, then don't subscribe.

Please use SugarBonnie (her cam name) when referring to the tenant.  Blue&Bonnie are going through a difficult time, and some comments directed at the tenant could be hurtful.

I can't see that a whole lot of negative comments should be filling the fan pages.  If you took Ilona as an example, there would be a lot of posts which are definitely NOT fan mail on her pages.

I guess I am in the same group as you guys.  I have no preconceived ideas on what I will see, and I enjoy whay's happening as it comes.  I lnow some apartments are boring at times (or even empty) but that's "real life".
 
If anyone doesn't like it, they can always cancel their subscription.
 
On the topic of more mature tenants, I would add my comments about Katka and Lenka.  I found them to be a refreshing change from the giddy antics of Ilona for instance, and it was a pity they broke up and the apartment closed..
 
But once again, this point has been made over and over again.  Everyone has their own likes and dislikes, their own reasons for being involved in this site.
 
I enjoy (mostly) the comments on the Shoutbox and hearing the different points of view.
