Trawling back through assorted sites, I found it astonishing how many "regular" couples had previously been guests of one or other couple, obviously auditioning for jobs
One of the most common "guest" males was Dick - is he their recruiter??
Those with more experience will no doubt be able to put a date on when/if the emphasis changed, but my guess would be about 2 years ago

Towards the end there were only 4 or 5 apartments that werent entirely fake/staged
Then Emma & Julio left, Kitty & Smith (I know, I know, but there WERE elements of real life activity) and the rest got bulleted by Putin (a sad fareweel, N&K, N&B, Chloe&???)
With modern rents as they are, there must be real couples (not more fake lesbians please) who would welcome the help with the rent - RLC wouldnt need to fund the entire operation

Mid afternoon, Chloe and Tyler are having sex on the sofa.
An hour or so later, they are nowhere to be seen and 2 other randoms are having sex on the other sofa and sleeping in the guest room
